TL,DR... Great place, awesome friendly staff, incredibly great tasting food and the owner is super nice. Our group of 4 was there last night for the first time and I so wished that I took pics of the food. We had the crab cake sandwich and French fries... Now, back story, I'm originally from MD and I'm super picky about crab anything. I'm also I self proclaimed fry snob... Anyway... The crab cakes were amazing and I just could not stop eating the fries. The staff was super nice to us and even though we showed up 10 minutes before the kitchen closed they never rushed us. The owner even stopped by our table to introduce himself and we chatted a bit. Overall the experience was great, the background music style was perfect for us and not to loud. I did get a really good pic of the bar right after closing. Definite go to fire a drink or food. Parking is also out back. Most people don't know that.

My wife got the Lancaster County Amish chicken with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, and I had fish n chips. The food was amazing, as well the atmosphere. We sat in the side room that is more for the laid back vibe. It has big windows that overlooks the outside patio entertaining area. The service was phenomal! We were in and out in less than an hour. Would definitely recommend!

Found this spot through the Find Me Gluten-Free app, and it did NOT disappoint! The owner even stopped by our table to introduce himself—he’s GF too, so you already know the food is going to hit. I wish I had snapped more pics of the appetizers, because everything was amazing. It’s been forever since I’ve had gluten-free calamari and it was a full 10/10. And the crab cake meal? Straight fire.

This is becoming our go to place to eat. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and very attentive and Dave ( the owner), has always stopped by the table to say hi. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We made a last minute decision to go out new years eve, my fiancé has celiac, so we found 1762 through her app. Being last minute, we uhhh didn't make reservations. I've never had a host work so hard to find accommodations for us, just random people that showed up on a busy night. Not regulars, not well known, just everyday folks. While we waited the owner Dave came out and introduced himself to us, thanked us for coming out, and told my fiancé everything she could and couldn't eat on the menu, he also has celiac so this was heaven for her. Within about 15 minutes they had seating for us at the bar, and Jess our bartender had menus and drinks for us. Let me stop here. THIS WAS THE LITTERAL BEST STEAK IVE EVER HAD AT A RESTAURANT. Before there's second guessing because of the drinking holiday, I was the designated driver. I cannot recommend their food enough. Dave periodically stopped by and chatted with us while he helped behind the bar, Jess was a great entertainer, and the food runner was even sociable and we shared a few jokes. Couple that with our great front door hosts, and I don't think you could have a better staff experience. 10/10 cannot recommend enough.

Came through here with family after Hershey Park. Several family members have severe gluten and dairy allergies but The 1762 was very accommodating. The owner came to introduce himself and told us his story about celiac and why he opened the restaurant! The staff were very friendly and helpful, kept our waters full. The food was exceptional. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was excellent. Probably the best crab cake I’ve had. The 62 burger, fish & chips, fries, and burgers were also delicious. I don’t live in Pennsylvania but will be coming back here next time I visit.

This was my first time at the 1762! I ordered the house moscato and one of the dinner specials, black and blue surf n turf. It was delicious!! The service we received was great! Maria was very attentive and friendly. The owner had come over to our table a few times as well to see how our meal was. My friends and I were all pleased with our meals. I will be back again soon. Thank you for a nice evening.
